Ali Bastian | Sexy Hollyoaks Babe Becca Dean

Ali Bastian joins the ranks of The Bill.

Ali Bastian may well have best known for playing Hollyoaks’ jailed character Becca, but this time she’s turning her acting talents to the opposite side of the law and has started filming as PC Sally Armstrong.

Ali is delighted to take on a regular character in ITV1’s top cop drama. “Sally certainly knows her own mind and what she wants out of life and I think there are going to be a few casualties along the way,” shares Ali.

Like all new recruits The Bill sends its police officer characters off for research with the real MET Police. “It’s going to be really exciting – seeing how it’s all done for real,” claims Ali.

Look out for Sun Hill’s energetic PC Sally Armstrong this summer.

Character Traits:

Slightly spoilt and naive, Becca's main calling card is her fondness for gossiping. She's also blessed with an astonishing capacity for carelessness.

Relationships:

After Jamie died in 2002 Becca discovered she was pregnant with his child, but chose to have an abortion. She later hitched up with Adam, got married to Jake, and is presently fighting the urge to have an affair with Justin.

Actor Biography: Ali Bastian

Background:

Ali was born in Windsor. She's had a varied career, appearing in the film Fairy Tale: The True Story and on television in Jane Eyre, Cave Girl, A Touch of Frost, Twenty Four 7 and Here After. She won the role of Becca in 2001.

Likes:

Ali thinks you can't beat the smell of a good fried breakfast. She loves watching rugby, and enjoys going to the gym, aerobics classes and skiing.

Background:

Jessica had already amassed a long string of TV credits before taking a part in HOLLYOAKS. Her previous roles include Belle Wise in Crossroads, the young June in The Forsyte Saga, Enid Nightshade in The Worst Witch, Fiona Meadows in Trial & Retribution IV, Rachel Monroe in The Bill, Anthea in The Phoenix and the Carpet and the voice of the Ghost of Christmas Past in The Muppet Christmas Carol. Jessica has also appeared on stage in professional productions of The Wind In The Willows, Oliver!, Les Miserables and The Sound Of Music.

Love Hurts

In a violent confrontation, Becca finally tells husband Jake what everyone else already knows - that she has been having an affair with schoolboy Justin.

Jake responds by storming straight round the Burtons and battering Justin to a pulp.

"Jake is consumed with rage" says Kevin Sacre, who plays him "He really loves Becca and thought she loved him. His whole world collapses when she tells him. And it's worse because every else seems to know already."

Becca swears it's all over with Justin, but Jake packs his bags and moves to the Dog."
